Metal Player has basic multimedia player functions, and some new functions that will enjoy you. Simple and easy to use, Metal Player requirements are very low and it can be installed on any Windows version (except Windows Vista).
Metal Player supports most of media files, mpeg, vob (DVD), avi, wav, midi, mov, asf, divx, flv, m3k, 3gp. Metal Player has a build-in equalizer, spectrum analizer, reverb, playlist, search in playlist, schedule songs, keyboard shortcuts, and many other functions.

Modes
Metal Player can be set in mini or full mode. Chosing minimal, Metal Player will have only most necessary buttons.
Equalizer
The equalizer (10 bands) can be hidden to save space if is not necessary. It has few presets, but you can make and save your on presets.
Playlist
The playlist has usual functions like add / delete files or entire folders, search function, and posibility to schedule the files in the order you like. The playlist can be saved and loaded easy, optimized for maximum speed.
Playback mode
Metal Player can be set to playback the files randomly, or to play only the songs that you like the most (Intelligent playback).
Top 20
Metal Player will make you a top 20 with your most liked bands / songs, and he can select for you, a song to play.
Doctor Metal
Doctor Metal is a utility that will try to fix filters or codecs problems, when they are occured. This is just for testing, for the moment.
Supported file types and containers
Metal Player has a filter for mp4, 3gp (used by mobile phones) and flv (Flash Video). Supports ASF (standard container for Microsoft WMA and WMV), avi, mov (standard QuickTime video container from Apple Inc.), vob (“video object” container format in DVD-Video media), mpeg1, mpeg2, mp4 (standard video container for mpeg4), dat, m2v, mpg, divx, ogg.
Metal Player supports the following audio formats: mp3, wav, wma, cda*, midi, mpa, ac3, ogg, snd, and rmi.
Metal Player can handle most of multimedia formats without any codec installed, but is recommended to have FFdshow.
Metal Player is available in two languages, English and Romanian.

where can i get the skin for metal player
The last version (2.0.9) has 3 skins included. Those are the only skins available for now.
I’m bussy with the code, I have to fix some bugs and to improve some things. The design will have to wait.
Sound Equalizer is only working with audio files but not with video files, fix this bug.

@parag: Yes, the equalizer works only with audio files. It’s not really a bug, but I will make it to work with video too.
@Sacredsacrifice: We never encountered this error and I was unable to reproduce it. Can you please give me some more details? You can’t select “Open file” menu, or “browse window” – or files – can’t be selected? It’s possible to be something with comdlg32.dll library (should be in system32) but it’s hard to pronounce…
